Israeli forces killed six Palestinians and detained 250 in the West Bank and Gaza Strip during August.

Majd Mohammad Anis Lahlouh and Karim Abu Sbeih were shot and killed by Israeli troops in the Jenin refugee camp on 20 August. Robin al-Abed, Younis Jihad Abu al-Sheikh Jahjouh and Jihad Asslan were killed by Israeli soldiers in the Qalandiya refugee camp on 25 August. Hussein Awadalah was killed by Israeli forces in the so-called “access restricted area” of the Gaza Strip.

250 Palestinians were arrested by Israel during August, five of whom are from the Gaza Strip. The five include journalist Alaa Mukbel, director of the Palestinian Information Authority, who was arrested at the Erez crossing.
