Finkelstein comments: Both my mother, Maryla Husyt, and my
father, Zacharias Finkelstein, were in the Warsaw Ghetto until the Uprising was suppressed in 1943. They were then herded into the Umschlagplatz in Warsaw and deported to Maijdanek concentration camp. A monument in the Umschlagplatz lists the deportees. A close friend of mine recently visited Warsaw and took these pictures of their names.
