In 2008 Israel attacked Gaza and 22 days later three Israeli civilians had been killed by Hamas “missiles.”

After the 2008-9 invasion Israel installed Iron Dome.

In 2012 Israel attacked Gaza again and 8 days later four Israel civilians had been  killed by Hamas “missiles.”

For argument’s sake, let us assume that the announced interceptions by Iron Dome are accurate.* 

How can it be said that Iron Dome was a brilliant success?

* It might be remembered the amazing success ascribed to the Patriot missiles in 1991 against Iraq’s Scuds until it was shown much later by an MIT professor that at most the vaunted Patriot missiles had intercepted one Scud.
