Top Foreign Office Minister Baroness Warsi resigned over Twitter today, citing the government’s “morally indefensible” position on Gaza. It’s the first government resignation on point of principle in over a decade (when Blair invaded Iraq):
The Labour Party have praised the decision, deputy PM Nick Clegg has sympathised, and a schism has been underscored within the Tory party as a result, with London mayor Boris Johnson and MPs like Crispin Blunt and Nicholas Soames publicly backing Warsi.
Salmond: An Independent Scotland to Observe Arms Embargo on Israel:
