Welcome to our Valentine’s Day edition of Birdwatcher’s Corner! Birds have inspired people throughout history with their beauty and devotion, so let us look to birds for some lessons in love. Let’s start with faithful companionship, such as birds who travel through the world together, looking after each other. Let’s celebrate each day like the bird who sings like no one else in the world. Let us remember to give gifts to each other, and let us accept the gifts we are given with grace. Let’s make the perfect nest for our loved ones and attend that nest together, trading places, and keeping watch. In thanks for the love we are given, let’s keep filling the world with life and love that will live on long after we are gone.
