Today marks the centenary of my Mother's birth. To commemorate the occasion, I am posting an excerpt from a memoir I never completed. Although a snob in her musical tastes (we only listened to the classical music station at home), I am linking to three of her favorite pop songs.Whatever decency I might possess, I got from my parents. My Mother once sadly said, "I will be forgotten." Not so. The entirety of my life has been a tribute to and vindication of my parents' martyrdom. So long as I live, they, too, live.
