Finkelstein comments: Many people have asked to be kept current on developments in the campaign to expose vulture-lawyers Michael Chetkof and Allyson Burger. Instead of writing you individually, I will post periodic updates.
(1) Dr Baldeo and I will be meeting with a new lawyer on Wednesday afternoon (27 September) to reopen the case on the grounds that he was terrorized into signing the final stipulation. Although it’s a uphill battle, we are guardedly optimistic that the Judge will find in our favor.
(2) I am scheduled to appear in Court on 2 October 2017. The charges lodged against me were trumped-up and falsified by Chetkof and Burger. They allege that I “harassed” them with my emails. At the head of every email I sent them and their law firm partners, I included these words:
Note: I am writing each of you in your private capacity and not as members of a law firm. If you want me to remove you from this ListServe, just email me and I will immediately oblige. (This formulation was recommended and approved by the ACLU to protect this writer from future claims of online harassment.)
If Chetkof and Burger did not want to receive my emails, they merely had to opt out. They opted not to opt out. Of course, I will not plea bargain, let alone plead guilty, in Court. If it comes to it, I will go to jail and then go on a fast-unto-the-death. I am not afraid of anyone or anything so long as I have Truth and Justice on my side. I already spent one quite unpleasant night handcuffed and in jail on account of these vulture-lawyers. However, I kept saying to myself, If my Father and Mother could survive five years in Hitler’s death camps, I can survive a shitty Long Island jail.
