Former ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda: Profile in Courage or Outsized Crook?

In New Book

Former ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda is currently on a victory tour, as she recounts her heroic defiance of Israeli pressure during her stint at the Court: “It was a risk I was willing to take.”  A perusal of the extensive documentary record shows, however, that Bensouda served not as the ICC’s Chief Prosecutor but as Israel’s Chief Counsel in the two cases then before the Court concerning Palestine.  In the case of  Israel’s murderous assault on a humanitarian flotilla bound for Gaza, Bensouda faithfully did Israel’s bidding to the point that her whitewashing triggered a veritable civil war inside the ICC.  An 85-page appendix to my forthcoming book, GAZA’S GRAVEDIGGERS: An inquiry into corruption in high places, irrefutably exposes her shocking perfidy and malfeasance.   Now is the time for accountability.  The cowards, crooks, and careerists who betrayed Gaza should not get a free pass, let alone be heralded for their courage.
