>Subject: [YoungZionistPartnership] Norman Finkelstein: THE PLAN
>Date: Fri, 24 Oct 2003 21:17:22 -0000
>
>
>As everyone is by now aware, well-known anti-Israel professor Norman
>Finkelstein will be lecturing at York this Wednesday. Many students
>have been asking YZP how we should deal with this event.
>
>After extensive consultations with experts in the field (CJC's Len
>Rudner, who has been following Norman for years), as well as
>students across the country who have already been subject to
>Finkelstein's presence (Waterloo, Western), the YZP has devised a
>carefully thought-out plan that requires all students' support.
>
>The plan is: nothing.
>
>SPHR's purpose in bringing Finkelstein is to spread his views on
>campus. Due to some backroom maneouvering by YZP, the only room that
>was available for Finkelstein to lecture in was the basement of
>Winters College, a building I have never heard of in 3 years at
>York. He is speaking at night, and tickets cost money. All of this
>works in our favour, and it is clear that the vast majority of the
>200-300 observers will be Arabs or Arab sympathizers, not ordinary
>students.
>
>Having thus already failed in their main objective, SPHR is now
>aiming to "have some fun", and intimidate and embarass campus
>Zionists. As such, it is OUR RESPONSIBILITY to NOT GIVE THEM THIS
>PLEASURE.
>
>Aside from the fact that your five dollars will be going to support
>terror, SPHR WANTS Jews and pro-Israel students to attend.
>Finkelstein is an expert at making people look stupid, regardless of
>how smart their question actually is.
>
>It is naive to attempt to go into the lecture with a bold plan
>of "exposing" Finkelstein. He does not answer questions; he merely
>ridicules his opponents. It is also unclear whether qustioners will
>have to write their questions down or speak publicly, but they
>surely will not be given a microphone. Therefore there is SIMPLY NO
>POINT of attending. In fact, by attending the lecture one will
>likely be doing more harm than good.
>
>So again, we urge you - DO NOT BUY TICKETS. DO NOT ATTEND. DO NOT
>ASK QUESTIONS. DO NOT MAKE A SCENE OF ANY KIND.
>
>If you already purchased a Finkelstein ticket, WE WILL REFUND YOUR
>MONEY in exchange for ripping up the ticket. Empty seats = good.
>Filled seats = bad.
>
>If you attend, SPHR wins. This is what they want you to do.
>
>On November, YZP will be hosting a couple of exceptional big-name
>speakers, including the former Director of the CIA. When this
>happens we HOPE Arabs will come out to the event and end up making
>fools of themselves. Let's not fall into their trap.
>
>If you have any questions, please email us at info@youngzionist.com,
>or call Paul at (416) 892-2442.

They were nothing of any substance... [inaudible]... That was Israel's ace in the hole. Now comes along an Arab leader who says we have to use "reason."
It's a very remarkable thing to read. We have to use "reason."
We have to think, plan, organize."
